BLOG - 1 EFFECTIVE RECRUITMENT PROCESS.
Recruitment process
is a
process of identifying the jobs vacancy, analyzing the job requirements,
reviewing applications, screening, shortlisting and selecting the right
candidate.
Human Resources is the function of managing people in
a company. They are in charge of supporting an organization's major goals, and
they do it by efficiently administering their role - focusing on the
development of people as the company's most valuable asset.
According to Ghada El – Kot, (2008) The Human
Resources department plays an important role in the recruitment and selection
process for various needs that are required by the company's various
departments. The recruiter should inform the appropriate department about the
interview system's context.
Effective recruitment process steps are as follows,
- Identify the hiring needs.
- Prepare job descriptions.
- Plan recruitment strategy.
- Screen and shortlist candidates.
- Conduct interviews.
- Evaluate and make the offer.
- Onboard the new employee.
1. Identify the
hiring needs
What
hiring requirements currently have? It's possible that an employee has
recently left or that a new job post has recently become available. After
you've identified the open positions, you may specify the job requirements,
such as skills, knowledge, and experience.
2. Prepare job
descriptions
Define
the job role, responsibilities, and duties once you've identified the skills,
knowledge, and experience gaps that need to be filled. You’ll know what to
search for in possible candidates if you have a detailed job description.
3. Plan recruitment
strategy
This
is where you'll figure out how to find and keep the best applicants. Consider
whether you can locate a suitable candidate from within the firm or whether you
need to hire someone from outside.
4. Screen and shortlist candidates
•
First, filter through the applications to identify those that meet the basic
requirements.
•
After that, separate resumes by preferred credentials. Look at the applicant's
work history, certificates, domain and technical competencies, and skills in
this section.
•
Only those candidates who meet the minimal requirements and possess the
necessary credentials will be considered.
•
If we have any concerns about their application, we'll make a note of it so we
can address it at the interview.
5. Conduct
interviews
This
is where your possible applicant will make direct contact with you after
completing the application form or viewing the job advertisement.
As
a result, it's time to make a solid first impression as a possible employer. And
employer should be most concerned about candidate experience.
6. Evaluate and
make the offer
Now
is the time to check the references of the candidate. You can then make the
offer if everything checks out.
However,
it's possible that the first promising applicant you've chosen will refuse. If
this is the case, you must be willing to give an offer to the second or third
best candidate.
7. Onboard the new
employee
This
is where you help the new employee get used to his or her surroundings. This
includes more than just showing the new employee around the office and
introducing them to others.
This
includes assisting them in comprehending their tasks and offering the resources
and training they require to learn.
Conclusion
Human
resource management is playing a major role in an organization. Recruitment is
a main process they engaged in to onboard new employees and fix required
employees where requirement is available.
Effective
recruitment process will help Human resource department to manage employees
effectively and achieve required targets and goals with efficient manner.
