BLOG – 6 – JOB SATISFACTION
Employee job satisfaction is described as how happy
they are with their jobs. This includes happiness with team members/managers,
satisfaction with organizational policies, and the impact of their employment
on employees' personal lives, in addition to their daily responsibilities
Job satisfaction is defined as a combination of positive and negative feelings about someone's work. Meanwhile, when a worker is employed in a commercial organization, he carries with him his own set of needs, desires, and experiences, all of which determine expectations that he has previously ignored. Job satisfaction is a measure of how realistic expectations are in comparison to actual rewards. Job satisfaction is inextricably tied to an individual's behavior at work (Davis et al.,1985).
Importance
of Employee Satisfaction
Employees work happiness is one of the most important
goals for all HR professionals. A happy employee is not just a loyal employee,
but also an internal and external brand promoter. He /She can help relieve
people' fears and defend the firm in a variety of settings. Employees who are
happy are more committed to the company's goals, go above and beyond to achieve
them, and are proud of their jobs, their teams, and their accomplishments
Important Elements of Job Satisfaction.
1. Upward Mobility in every role:
Every employee should have a professional path. We
want everyone to know where they're headed, from the warehouse to the executive
level, and to be recognized when they take the initiative to get there.
2. Performance related pay:
Employee should receive more if achieve more. It
appears to be a simple incentive, but in a large organization, it is easy to
overlook.
3. Paid
Holidays:
We believe in making work a pleasurable place to be,
but we also know that everyone needs a break from work from time to time
without losing their income.
4. Healthcare:
it's a critical benefit for our employees. Employers
gain from the peace of mind that health insurance provides in terms of reduced
stress and attracting fresh talent.
5. A
safe social workplace:
It's easier said than done to create a welcoming and
harassment-free workplace. That is why we strive for it and ask staff to inform
us when we fall short of the high standards we set for ourselves.
Conclusion
Job satisfaction is very much important in each and
every organization. If employees are happy with their job, they will put their
maximum effort in to their employment role to achieve organizations set targets
and goals.
